How long have flower essences been around?

Dr. Edward Bach is considered the father of modern flower essences, but Bach derived his inspiration from homeopathy and ancient alchemy. Bach “discovered” his 38 essences in the United Kingdom, mostly in Wales, during the last few years of his life in the 1930’s. Bach was a standard physician, a bacteriologist and a homeopathic physician before embarking on a journey that would change his life dramatically and alter the lives of many millions of others in the years that followed. Bach’s Rescue Remedy or the Five-Flower Remedy is the flower essence combination that is the most popular and widely used flower essence remedy in the United States. Bach was an absolutely fascinating man with an amazing story, and I encourage you to read his books if you are interested. They are short, but very engaging. Check out my Bookstore in the category New Thought Wisdom for a couple of my favorites.
