How long has Whistler Mountaineer been operating?
2009 represents our fourth year of operation for the Whistler Mountaineer. Since 1990 we have also operated the world renowned Rocky Mountaineer and have carried over 900,000 guests during this time. Twice we have won the World Travel Award (think Academy Awards for the tourism industry) as “World’s Leading Travel Experience by Train”. Yes, we are proud and we are thrilled and excited to showcase the Whistler Mountaineer Route – and we know the Whistler Mountaineer is fast becoming a “must do” attraction here on Canada’s West Coast.
