How long has UK held a football rivalry with Louisville?
While the Wildcat/Cardinal rivalry dates back to 1912, a modern, annual football score-settling has only begun since 1994, whereupon the University of Louisville leads the University of Kentucky in the modern series 9-6. Since 1912, however, Kentucky leads the rivalry at 12-9. It’s trophy is known as the Governor’s Cup.
