How long has the Pimlico scheme been running for?
The Pimlico Connection has been running since 1975 and is therefore the oldest peer-tutoring scheme of its kind. Over this time, student tutors have become highly valued members of the school community. Tutoring is both a challenge and an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the education of young people. We recently won the Outstanding Project Award at the Student Volunteering Awards (sponsored by the Higher Edcuation Funding Council for England) and have been nomiated for other awards too.
