How long has The Evergreen Upward Bound program been around?
The Evergreen State College Upward Bound was established in 1977. Evergreen provides this program because of the College’s commitment to providing access to higher education and its commitment to serve area communities. Each summer the Evergreen community hosts Upward Bound students Sunday evening through Friday afternoon in residential housing, the cafeteria, classrooms and recreation spaces. Offices all over the College support Upward Bound through activities like hosting our summer student interns.
