How long has the club existed?
In the late 40’s a small group of local farmers decided to form a club to raise game birds, have a place to shoot, and build a club house. In 1947 the club was incorporated into The Peel County Game and Fish Protective Association. The club raised various game birds for release in what was then farm land for hunters. During the early 60’s a very heavy frost killed off all partridge & pheasant. As a result, the members started building facilities to accommodate trap, rifle and handgun ranges The PCGFPA or “Parent Body” which it is often referred to as, is a non profit organization bound by its own constitution, bylaws and Board of Directors. It is composed of five independent sections: Peel Trap Club, Peel Handgun Club, Peel Rifle Club, Peel Archery Club, and Peel Black Powder Club. Each section has its own constitution, bylaws, and Board of Directors operating within the Constitution of the Parent Body.
