How long has Tele Atlas been in the mapping business?
As a pioneering provider of digital map data and other geographic content, Tele Atlas has been in this business, and only this business, for more than 20 years. We made two major acquisitions in that time, first in 2000 with the acquisition of ETAK, itself an industry pioneer. In 2004, we acquired Geographic Data Technology (GDT), by far the leading provider of maps for enterprise and public-sector applications in North America.
