Teck developed its e-waste process in conjunction with the BC Ministry of Environment. The recycling of end-of-life electronics began in 2006, and the company currently recycles e-waste for BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Trail Operations has the capacity to recycle up to 30,000 tonnes of e-waste annually.
