How long has Smurfit Kappa Nettingsdorfer been in existence?
The Nettingsdorfer Papierfabrik was founded as a paper mill in Nettingsdorf in 1851 (in the municipality of Haid in Upper Austria). Since the year 2000, the Nettingsdorfer Papierfabrik AG & Co KG has been wholly owned by the Jefferson Smurfit Group, an international company with its head office in Ireland. In December 2005 through a merger between Jefferson Smurfit and Kappa Packaging a new company, the Smurfit Kappa Group, was formed.
