The original version of Cashtax was first implemented at Skagit County in 1995. This version ran under Novell Netware and MS-DOS using Advanced Revelation as the database platform. Since that time many features have been added and upgrades have occurred to keep pace with changing technology. Today, Cashtax runs under Microsoft WindowsXP and Vista, is written in Microsoft Visual C++, and uses Microsoft SQLServer as the database platform. A successful system is a living entity that must evolve to meet ever changing business requirements.
