How long has Baby Tattoo been publishing illustrated books?
Our first book was Gris Grimly’s Gris Grimly’s Wicked Nursery Rhymes which came out in 2003. It was launched at Comicon in 2003 and it’s our best selling book to date. By the end of this show (APE) we’ll have nineteen books that we’ve published in the four years we’ve been in business. Gris Grimly’s Wicked Nursery Rhymes II is our top seller, and that came out in 2006, and you’ll see Wicked Nursery Rhymes 3 in 2009. So that kind of a strong little franchise for us. And Gris Grimly, who is a phenomenal artist, is very in demand and doing work for a lot of top publishers. We’re very honored we were able to work with him. That’s one of the secrets of how we have such great books, which sounds immodest, but we really do have great, high quality books.
