How long has Ashridge offered MBA programmes?
Ashridge first became a place of learning and debate over seven hundred years ago when it began life as a monastery in 1285. After a rich and varied history that included time as a royal residence to the young princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth 1), a manor house to renowned Earls and Dukes, a film set to “The Dirty Dozen” (and almost Harry Potter) and a hospital during the second World War, Ashridge became a management college for executive education in 1959. The one-year MBA programme was launched in 1988, the two-year programme in 1993.
