How long does withdrawal last with trileptal?
I have taken many different medications for anxiety, depression, and OCD. What I have found is yes… withdrawal from these medications can be prolonged, and painful, and can last mos, years, etc… That being said… keep in mind that the body needs time to readjust to changes. I think that suddenly tapering down off of something over the course of a couple of weeks to a month is nuts…. baby steps over a long period of time have enabled me to find medicines that I can take at very low doses with minimal side effects. Your GF needs to rebaseline herself. if she’s flipping out from Trileptal w/d, she should talk to her doc, and go back on it… perhaps at a lower dose. stabilization is most important.
