It really depends on how the teeth are situated. If they’re impacted, that might cause more pain and and take longer to heal. Personally, I had 2 wisdoms taken out and 2 other teeth that needed pulling… and I healed up rather good within a week. I would probably try to take at least a week off, after that… I started smoking again as well. (If you smoke, might want to quit… look into “dry socket”, ive heard it’s the worst pain in the world.) It took probably 45 mins or so, maybe less, for my dentist to get my teeth out. It didn’t hurt at all while he was doing it–it was just uncomfortable because of the pressure. Poke yourself in the mouth, it kind of feels like that. They’ll give you some strong pain meds too. The only part that kind of sucks is after you get out and you pain meds wear off, that was the worst part for me–and even then it wasn’t too bad at all. Keep some tylenol and advil handy too.
