How long does the suspension last?

0

The suspension of the Right to Buy lasts for period of the maximum designation – which is 5 years. The Council can then apply to the Scottish Government for the period to be extended. If Pressured Area Status is granted again, the suspension will last until the designation is no longer in place. If the Council does not seek Pressured Area Status again (e.g. because there are no longer affordable housing shortages) then suspension will last until 13 October 2015.
