How long does the season last?
The first game of the season begins on the second Saturday after Labor Day in September. The playoffs are completed in mid-December. Please refer to our Region 70 Calendar for more details. Will my son/daughter be on the same team as his brother/her sister? Requests for brothers and sisters to be on the same team will be honored whenever possible. Often, however, a parent may decide that it is not a good idea for their children to be together, which will also be honored whenever possible. These requests must be noted on each player’s registration form. How do I request for my child to be placed on a team with team practices on specific days? Practices can be on any one day during the week, Monday through Friday, and are at the convenience of the coach. GJLS tries to have the baseball season completed by the first or second week of July. Near the end of June, all teams compete in a post season tournament. Some teams will be eliminated quickly while others will play longer. Generally speaking, you should plan on playing two or more tournament games. The high school and softball seasons run longer because they start later.
