How long does the money take to arrive?
This will depend on how the money was transferred. If the Sender has used the Recipient’s card details, the transfer is initiated straight away and it will then take up to 2 days (depending on the Recipient’s card issuer) for the money to arrive on the Recipient’s card. If the Sender has used the Recipient’s BIC/IBAN details to send to a bank account, then the transfer is initiated straight away but it will then take between 2 and 5 days for the Recipient’s account to be credited, depending on the Recipient bank. If the Sender has provided an email address only, the money is made available to the Recipient’s bank within 2 days of processing – that is from the time the Recipient accesses the Visa Money Transfer website and provides the relevant card details themselves. The money should then be available immediately, unless there are delays with the Recipient’s bank.
