How long does the license plate application process take?

The PBCC sends applications to PennDOT in batches around the 15th and the 30th of each month. Once PennDOT receives an application it takes about 6 weeks until the license plate arrives in your mailbox. Why? Because these specialty plates are not pre-made. They are made in consecutive order as applications are submitted. Please be patient!
