How long does the entire process take?
After we receive your items at our warehouse, it usually takes 1-3 business days to check your books in plus 1-3 business days to issue payment. During peak buyback periods, processing can take somewhat longer. Peak periods are usually late December through January and late May through June. The time it takes you to get your buyback payment depends on two factors: • Shipping Method • Media Mail (Pre-paid label): From the day you send your book(s) to us, Media Mail usually takes between 3-14 business days to arrive. • FedEx: This service guarantees delivery in 1-5 business days. Please contact us to arrange a FedEx shipment for a small fee. • Payment Method • PayPal: Once we have checked in your books, your PayPal account will be credited within 1-3 business days. • Store Credit: Usually takess 1 business day to issue store credit. • Check: If you’d like a check, we’ll have to mail it to you. That usually takes an additional 1-5 business days.
The Tribunal will process each and every case as efficiently as possible, but it is impossible to predict the length of time because of a number of variable factors. No two cases are the same. One case may be completed in several months. Another may take a year. Therefore, no guarantees can be given either as to the length of time the process may take, or that a given case will result in an affirmative decision regarding invalidity or dissolution. Documentary cases normally are completed very quickly. Formal cases take longer because of the time required to obtain the testimony of witnesses.
