How long does the emigration process usually take?
This varies from one overseas visa type to another. Co-ordination, organisation and expertise all play their part in getting your overseas visa as quickly as possible. However, there are unavoidable administrative and legal processes involved in emigrating that have to be strictly followed. The amount of time varies based on case complexity and availability of information. In the best case scenario it can take 10 days, at worst 18 months plus. At present OE clients can usually expect a waiting time of around 8 months (providing all required documents are submitted in a timely fashion when requested), but this varies due to DIMIA waiting times and backlogs.
