How long does the DSA application process take?
It is very difficult to be specific but as a general rule it can take anything from 6 weeks to several months, which is why you need to apply early. An outline of the process is described below:You need to complete a DSA application form and return it to your funding body.You will then receive a letter of approval requesting you to make an appointment for your assessment of study needs at a NNAC registered Assessment Centre, such as our Leeds Assessment Centre . The appointment for your assessment will take approximately one and a half to two hours. Following your assessment, a draft report will be produced by the assessor and given to you to approve and sign. The report is then finalised and copies will be sent to your funding body and staff in your academic department. You will also normally receive two copies for you to keep or circulate as appropriate.
