How long does the certification process take?
There is not a definitive amount of time that it takes for an agency to become certified. However, at a minimum it is likely to take at least 2 to 3 months after DARM receives an application for a certification to be complete. During this time DARM personnel will review the application, set up and conduct a site visit, and make recommendations regarding the application. Other factors that impact the time frame are the fact that the State Records Committee (the body that grants the certification) meets only once a month and that a Public Notice must be made by the agency seeking certification 23 business days prior to attending a State Records Committee meeting.
Standard process for Missouri based businesses takes approximately 45-60 days from the day that the application becomes complete (All requested documentation must be included to proceed to the next stage). An on-site visit must be conducted and a final review is necessary to evaluate whether your firm qualifies in meeting program guidelines. Out of State and Rapid applications might take less processing time.
The time required to complete the certification process is different for each applicant. You may apply for the required exams as soon as you meet the eligibility requirements for examination. All of the exams required for ECFMG Certification are offered continuously throughout the year. Both medical school students and graduates may begin the certification process. However, since one of the requirements for ECFMG Certification is that your final medical diploma be verified by ECFMG with your medical school, you cannot complete the certification process until you graduate. The time required for some aspects of the certification process, such as the time required by your medical school to verify your medical education credentials, is beyond the control of ECFMG. See ECFMG Certification.
The process is dependent on many factors, some that are expedited with the cooperation of the building owner. This entails the examination of utility usage, inspection of mechanical systems and building maintenance. After a two month evaluation to determine the credits we want to achieve, there is a minimum 90 day performance period. During this time USA LEED will document and report the success or failure of each credit. The complete evaluation is then submitted to the USGBC for certification. The entire process should take between (7-12) months. Back to Top.
