If a student submits his/her FAFSA by the March 11 deadline, and the awarding process has begun, general awarding takes about a week. However, if there any problems with the student’s application (i.e. requests for additional documentation, etc.) then the awarding process is longer depending on how quickly information is received by our office and processed. Usually awarding takes no longer than a month. To ensure the fastest process of your application, please respond to all correspondence from our office immediately. See our Award Package page for more information.

A. Need-based aid packages are calculated after the student/applicant: • has been accepted for admission; • has been evaluated for all available institutional merit scholarships; • has submitted a processed 2009-2010 FAFSA to our office as well as completed any additional paperwork that is necessary to complete the process. For current students, this means you have to submit verification paperwork (if selected for verification) prior to awarding. All award packages are processed in the order they are received. As long as everything is complete, the award process usually takes between 7-14 days.
