How long does the application process take?
The application process is a very streamlined, automated process. If you read all the instructions that come via email, the process can take as little as 48 hours, provided your vet (if applicable) and your references respond quickly. We will let you know by email when your vet reference form arrives. Silence means it is not here yet. Vet offices are notorious for either forgetting to fax or thinking that the fax was sent when in fact it was not. If your references have email, it makes it much faster. Make sure their email is correct when you enter it in, otherwise we have to contact you to chase down the correct email address.
It typically takes two to four weeks from the time you submit your application until you receive your funds. Most banks take three business days to a week to notify us if you have been approved after application submission. After approval, the bank will require additional paperwork to set up the new account. Your unsecured line will be available within roughly a week of setting up the new account.
