How long does someone typically stay in a memory support AL community?
The average stay in a memory support program is two years. The Executive Office of Elder Affairs dictates guidelines on how long residents may remain in assisted living. Within those guidelines, each community can make certain decisions on what they will or will not accommodate. These items are listed in the communities’ Disclosure Statement.
