The above comment of 16 hours is incorrect. Levaquin is often dosed once daily. If the medication was completely gone from your system in 16 hours, it would have to be dosed more frequently than that. The half-life is approximately 6-8 hours in a person with normal kidney function. It takes 4-5 half-lives for a drug to be completely eliminated from your body (32-40 hours).
