How long does LASIK take to perform?
Most LASIK patients start noticing improved vision almost immediately following their procedure. However, your visual recovery will depend on which procedure you choose, the severity of your refractive error, the health of your eyes and your age. In general, however, most of our patients – regardless of their age and refractive error – achieve vast visual improvement within 24 hours of their procedure. Many of them return to work or other activities that require clear vision as soon as the day following their procedure. In terms of the quality of your vision, our results at Arrowsmith Eye Institute meet – or surpass – the national averages in every category. Well over 90% of all of our patients achieve best visual acuity of 20/20 or better after their refractive procedure.
