How long does it typically take to resolve a personal injury claim?

There are many factors that go into a personal injury claim, so it is hard to judge how long your case might last.  Typically, they last anywhere from a few months to two years.  If you need more information, I would contact your lawyer.

There’s so many factors that go into that it’s very difficult to predict. Liability is an issue, causation is an issue, your injuries are issues, all of these things factor together to determine when it’s time to resolve a case. One of the biggest things is are you better? If you’re not better from your injury the lawyer shouldn’t be trying to settle your case at that time because no lawyer is going to know how long you’re going to continue to suffer, how much more treatments you’re going to need and how long those problems will go out into the future. So those issues have to be resolved as best we can before we even try to settle a case. So to a big extent the when this case might be resolved it’s in the client’s hands as to when they’re actually getting better.
