It may take two to twelve weeks to transfer from an existing pension provider depending on complexity of the transfer, the speed of the transferring trustee and any relevant deferral periods (we have experienced cases where deferral periods of up to 12 months may apply.) These are issues where Morgan Fitzgerald are reliant on third parties and therefore may be beyond our control. The process is initiated by the applicant completing a Letter of Authority enabling Morgan Fitzgerald to obtain and liaise with the current pension trustees (your old schemes) to establish the documentation that is required to effect the transfer. In the interim period awaiting data from your old provider/s we will conduct an analysis of your circumstances and which provider from our preferred panel which most suits your circumstances.
