How long does it take to transfer an IRA or rollover a 401(k)?
It depends on your custodian, but usually it can be completed with 5 business days. There may be a delay when rolling over a 401(k) into an IRA, as 401(k) Providers usually drag there feet, because they do not like losing assets. Please remember, we require that you liquidate all holdings into cash; we do not transfer any securities in your account. Please liquidate everything before submitting the transfer information.
