It takes roughly 30 seconds to transfer a configuration. The audio is only muted if the currently running configuration is overwritten, and then audio is only muted for about 1 second. If, for example, Configuration A is in Run mode and a new layout is transferred to Configuration B, then the audio is not muted at all.
