A. Text message (sms) is usually delivered to the mobile phone straight away. In peak times there could be delays with the service. Please note also that additional delays can occur within the network if the mobile phone is not switched on or in a mobile coverage area. Networks usually continue to retry sending messages that have been lodged for up to a 3 days but the retries get further and further apart so it may take a while for messages to come through after you turn your phone back on.
