How long does it take to secure Planning consent?
A. The Local Planning Authority has to deal with your application in a statutory eight weeks from the date of registration which is usually about one week after the date of submission. If there are no complications the local authority will generally keep to this timescale with slight over-run to meet planning committee timing. An important point to note is that technically you will not have received planning consent until you have possession of the written approval notice.
