Pure acetone works best, but nail polish remover which contains acetone will also work, though not as quickly in most cases. To answer your question, when done properly, it will take about a full 30-40 minutes of soaking, and then some extra time to remove the softened acrylic and complete the nail service. So, that means it will take one full hour or longer. No longer than one hour and fifteen minutes usually for the complete job. These people who pry them off, tear them off, or in any way force them off are damaging their natural nails – sometimes severely, and also causing themselves unnecessary pain.
