The Amazon.com Visa rotates between being issued by Chase during the first six months of the year and Juniper the last six months of the year. Since we’re in the first half of the year right now, it’s with Chase. And really, it’s a typical Chase credit card with a specific rewards program. The “instant approval” is a temporary limit because they don’t have the time or technology to really approve you for that good of a credit card. (Cards with instant appoval sites typically have lower credit standards and therefore higher interest rates than typical Chase cards.) They’ve gotta pull your report, and then humans need to look at it. That’s a delay. Then it comes in the US Postal Service… from where? Banks don’t release that for security reasons. It could be anywhere they have an office, and that’s the point. So, and a few days delay for the postal workers to move it around. When you add it all up, it takes a few weeks to get a card. It takes a few weeks to get any card.
