How long does it take to receive results from the CPA exam?
It depends on how many people have taken the exam during the testing window. They need to have a large enough sample of exams to compare to your performance. So if you are lucky, and a large number of tests have been taken during January, you may see your scores by the end of February. That being said, in March all they do is grade exams from January and February. So do not be surprised if you do not receive your grades until the middle of March.

Your score release date depends largely on when you sit for exam. But that’s not all – it also depends on the questions in your testlets and if anyone is disputing one. You can sit in the first week in January and still not receive your score with the early release wave. They will hold back exams if there’s a particular question in dispute – that happened to me (I’m the one who disputed it). I had several friends (all of us in Georgia) who took the same section the same week that I did and received their scores with the early release wave (some passed, one didn’t). But I didn’t get my score for 2 months! But late release of your score is not necesarlly a bad thing. My late score was a 95!
