How long does it take to receive an interlibrary loan?
ILL requests are processed daily, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. If you submit a request over the weekend, it will be processed on the following Monday. Turnaround times vary owing to several factors, but you should allow at least two weeksfrom the request date for any item to arrive. Although we will make every attempt to fill your request, we cannot gurarantee that a lender will be able to supply your item. Occasionally, for a variety of reasons, (i.e. “On Loan,” “Missing,” “Not-circulating,” Not Owned,” etc.) we are unable to secure what you have requested. Although we can ask individual lenders, there are no options available to formally request or guarantee a rush order, so please allow yourself enough lead time to either receive what you need or research alternative sources.
