HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A REFUND CHECK FROM THE IRS ?
For those you efile up to Jan 22, direct deposit will be sent on Jan 30; it will reach bank on Feb 3. Paper check will be sent on Feb 6 and it will take 3 or 4 days more for you to get the check If you filed between Jan 22 to 29, direct deposit will be sent on Feb 6 and paper check on Feb 13. If you filed between Jan 29 to Feb 5, direct deposit will be sent on Feb 13 and paper check on Feb 20. The IRS efile cycle chart is not to be believed. Many people who filed as early as possible are having to wait until the 24th (if it’s not pushed back again). We efiled and according to the chart, our refund should have hit our bank by the 6th. The WMR site now says the 17th. There were some major glitches with the IRS computer system this year, not all associated with the Recovery Rebate credit. So, to answer your question, when you get your refund is something no one can answer with any certainty. I would recommend adding 2 or 3 weeks to the date on the chart, then cross your fingers.
