How long does it take to receive a final decision on my work permit application after I complete my Immigration Medical Examination?
Our objective is to finalize 80% of Working Holiday Program applications within 14 days of the Immigration Medical Examination and 90% within 28 days of the Immigration Medical Examination. In order to benefit from this service standard, candidates must follow the medical examination procedures described in the “After the selection” section, above. Therefore, please do not contact the Canadian Embassy in Seoul with a status enquiry until it has been at least 20 working since the immigration medical physical examination. The 2nd round, during which work permit applications are assessed in accordance with Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, is anticipated to begin mid-September to December, 2011.
