How long does it take to process documents and enter new splits?

Documents are processed on a daily basis. Most name changes will be shown on the public record by the next day. Depending on the complexity of a split or combination of lands… most new parcel numbers will be on the public record within 2 – 5 days. A new parcel will have a notation in red on the public access screen that states “Tax Effective Year”. Tax effective year indicates the year that the parcel will begin as a separate assessment/taxing entity. A parcel that is “inactive” or will be removed/retired from the assessment roll will have a notation in red that states “parcel inactive – tax expiration year___”. The expiration year is the last year that the parcel existed on the assessment/tax roll.
