How long does it take to process an application for a specific licence/authorisation?
Generally it takes a maximum of 20 working days to process applications. However, it may take longer if we have to contact the applicant requesting further information. You must therefore apply as early as possible and in any case, not less than seven working days before the proposed date of import. Application for licences and authorisations are assessed on a risk basis and there is no guarantee that one will be issued.
