How long does it take to process a building, plumbing, mechanical or electrical permit?
Currently, it takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks to process a building permit. Some simpler permits may be issued sooner (such as roof permits, which are usually issued within a few days). Some commercial permits and complicated structures may take longer. Usually plumbing, mechanical and electrical permits are issued at time of application.
