How long does it take to obtain H-1B status?
The amount of time required to obtain H-1B status varies according to circumstances at the DOL and the USCIS. The total processing time, including prevailing wage determination (if necessary), LCA and USCIS processing can be as long as six months. You should count on a minimum of 90 – 120 days for USCIS processing at the California Service Center (CSC). Other USCIS regional processing centers may differ in their processing times.
