How long does it take to make changes to services through PBC?
There is no set answer to this. The length of time involved in developing or re-designing services will vary according to the issue, people and complexity involved. However, word class commissioning has given PBC new momentum, and PCTs will be attaching increasing priority to reviewing proposals from clinicians, so the process for moving from business case to practical action will be quicker than in the past.
