Hi, the glockenspiel is a fantasic instrument. If you have good familiarity with music scales or the piano it will be much easier to learn. Otherwise, it will take a bit longer but if you’re determined you’ll be fine. And honestly, hardly anything beats the sound of being able to play the glockenspiel well. Just stay motivated and determined. I live in Ireland aswell and I play various instruments. I always by off a German website, called www.thomann.de and they have section of the site for Irish customers all priced in euro. It’s an additional 15euro for shipping, and you must spend at least 25euro.
