How long does it take to implement a Management System for ISO9001?
This depends on a number of factors. The size and complexity of your organisation; the start point (how much is already documented); and the willingness of people throughout the organisation to make it happen. We have achieved it in only 6 weeks from absolute “scratch”, but the customer’s managers were working half the night! Realistically, The minimum time from starting work to certification is unlikely to be less than 2 months, even for a small company, simply because it can take that length of time to collect the required records as evidence of achievement.
