How long does it take to get approved for a FHA Loan?
I am going through the same thing as well. My husband and I found a house and put an offer starting on February 14th, got countered and accepted and then went into Contract on the house on February 21st. My mortgage guy just finished the loan and underwriting as of March18th. I don’t know exactly how long the whole process starts but I do remember right after we went into contract we had to sign all the loan paperwork. We are supposed to be closing on March 26th. I also just remembered that I think that they carried everything out a little bit because the realtor told the seller and mortgage guy that we wanted to close on the 26th or sooner, I didn’t tell her this date, but I do think they carried it out because of the date that she chose. If the seller requires to have an answer by a specific date I am sure that they will get it all done for you on time. They need to make the sell too.
