How long does it take to get an article via Loansome Doc ?

Please give us at least 1 week to obtain your documents. If you have rush requests, you will need to contact the LHSL document delivery department. You can email or call Document Delivery staff at medlib@usd.edu or (605)677-5349. The length of time depends upon the availability of the journal. We strive for 24 hour turn around time for documents available in the Lommen Health Sciences Library collection. Keep in mind the LHSL document delivery department is staffed Monday – Friday 8:00am -4:30pm. Documents which need to be obtained from other libraries will take longer and depend on the loaning library. The majority of the libraries we work with do not have weekend or night hours. Citations listed in PubMed as [epub ahead of print] may not be available until the document is published in the print version of the journal.
