How long does it take to get a job through the wage subsidy program?
Once a person becomes eligible for the wage subsidy they begin to market themselves to local employers. The jobseeker can inform the employer they are eligible to have a percentage of their wages covered when first hired. Once the client and employer have made contact with the Wage Subsidy Coordinator and completed the appropriate paperwork, it can take as little as 24 hours to complete a signed agreement.
