How long does it take to get a foster care license?
It is HRT’s goal to complete the licensing process at the same time the family finishes the Pre-Service Training. Generally, the process takes at least four to six months. You will be required to complete the initial licensing paperwork while you are in the PS MAPP training. You will have a minimum of three home visits by a social worker during which you and your family will be interviewed. The quicker you submit your paperwork, the faster HRT can complete your license.
